We are seeking to appoint a knowledgeable and ambitious SEND specialist to lead aspects of our learning support provision in school. Working to support the Deputy Headteacher, you will build and enhance established practise as well as lead innovations in order to ensure our curriculum can be accessed by all learners, This is a new role within our school community and you will report into and support the work of our Deputy Headteacher who has responsibility as the School's SENCO.

· Strong personal values of integrity and compassion;
· Excellent knowledge of issues affecting learners with specific needs and a commitment to continually developing this knowledge;
· A strong and sustained track record of delivering strong outcomes for learners with SEND;
· Experience of supporting colleagues within the classroom setting to enable all learners to access the curriculum;
· A track record of delivering small group and one-to-one support;
· A keen interest in developing leadership and management skills; and
· Cognisance of current best practice and a desire to foster in others a research-based approach to designing and implementing support for learners with specific educational needs.

Westminster City School is a successful 11-18 boys’ Christian non-denominational comprehensive academy with a heavily oversubscribed, mixed sixth form. Ours is a vibrant learning community situated in the heart of central London with all the opportunities and advantages of an inner-city school. In March 2022, the school’s OFSTED inspection confirmed that the school remains a ‘Good’ school, but we are restless in our ambition to have the highest ratings by the inspectorate in time for the school’s 150th anniversary in 2027.
