A new position has been created at TWGSB for an Assistant Site Manager to join our friendly, hardworking and well-respected Site Team.
Purpose of the Job
To support the Site Manager and contribute as a team member towards providing an effective and efficient site support service, thus enhancing the standards of teaching and learning within the school. There will be a strong focus on Health and Safety. The Assistant Site Manager is expected to deputise for the Site Manager in their absence.
Overall Responsibility
- To assist the Site Manager in managing the Health and Safety procedures of both TWGSB sites so that the safest possible environment is achieved and maintained for pupils, staff and visitors.
- To support the Site Manager in maintaining and developing the School premises and grounds and ensure the School is a clean, healthy and safe environment for all.
- Contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people to the Every Child Matters agenda and Area Child Protection Procedures.
The Site Team are responsible for the day-to-day operational management, safety and security of the school site. The Site Team are responsible for ensuring that the school is well-maintained, safe and secure for all users.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible and self-motivated, have good communication skills and a good understanding of the health and safety requirements of a large site. Previous experience of working in a school would be advantageous but is not essential. The successful candidate will ensure our school site is maintained to the highest standard that will offer all our children the best learning environment both indoors and out.
Any overtime hours will be paid at the appropriate rate. This is an all year-round full-time post, 37 hours per week, 25 days holiday.
Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys is an expanding and rapidly improving selective grammar school. It is undergoing a period of transformational change benefitting from a multi-million pound investment in Tunbridge Wells and a brand new building at our Sevenoaks campus, which opened in September 2021.
