We are looking to make a permanent appointment for September 2018 of a dynamic Assistant Subject Leader for Science (Chemistry) to assist the Subject Leader in the leadership of the Science Department, to role model high quality teaching and learning and to maximise the achievement of students. We believe this is an exciting opportunity, which will make a key contribution to further enhancing the learning of our students. Higham Lane School is a high-performing 11-18 comprehensive academy with approximately 1390 students on roll, based on an attractive site in the north east of Nuneaton on the Warwickshire-Leicestershire border.

Applications are invited from suitably-qualified, experienced and enthusiastic teachers with experience of teaching science at KS3 and Chemistry at KS4 and 5. As Assistant Subject Leader you will assist the Subject Leader in providing professional leadership and management within the Science Department to secure high quality teaching in a safe environment, the effective use of resources and continuously improving standards of learning and achievement for all students. You will lead on the Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 Chemistry curriculum within the Department.
