Job overview

Assistant Subject Leader - Mathematics

Mainscale or UPS plus TLR 2b (£4,657 per annum)

Permanent, Full Time Contract commencing 1 September 2020

(this post is open to both external and internal applicants)

Due to a long standing member of staff's decision to reduce their hours and step down from their TLR, an opportunity has arisen to appoint a full time Assistant Subject Leader.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated teacher with a proven record of outstanding practice, including some experience of excellent management and leadership, in order to continue to drive forward our very strong team of Mathematics teachers.  We will require candidates to teach across the age and ability range and be committed to ensuring our students are taught with a depth of understanding to enable them to make significant progress over time.

The department is staffed by seven teachers, all with extensive experience.

The post will provide an opportunity for a well-qualified and dynamic teacher to join a successful Mathematics Department that is determined to excel.

Close for applications Sunday 26 January 2020 at midnight.  Interviews are likely to be held either during week commencing Monday 27 January or Monday 3 February 2020.

Millthorpe is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  We require the successful applicant to undertake an enhanced Criminal Record check via the Disclosure and Barring Service. Application forms and further details can be downloaded from our website:  http://www.millthorpeschool.co.uk/millthorpe/about-us/vacancies/
