Fixed Term contract to run from 1st September 2016 until 28th February 2017

OCR, a leading Awarding Body, is recruiting an Assistant Subject Specialist in the Education and Learning team, based in Cambridge. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, outward-facing team working closely with our customers and stakeholders.

You will work in a varied role including:

  • Supporting new and exciting qualifications
  • Working with schools and teachers to help them deliver our qualifications
  • Commissioning innovative resources to provide our customers with the excellent support materials they need
  • Responding to opportunities to grow OCR’s business through partnerships and stakeholder engagement

You will have responsibility for the success of the subject you manage, liaising closely with our field teams to support income growth. You will be passionate about your subject and able to be an ambassador for it with schools, the regulator and stakeholders at all levels. Providing high quality customer service will be very important to you.

To be successful in these roles you will need to demonstrate the following expertise and experience:

  • Excellent subject expertise and the ability to discuss subject issues with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience of successfully managing multiple projects
  • A business mind-set with commercial and financial awareness
  • The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively to a range of audiences
  • A can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience of and affinity with the education and assessment environment.
