Ardingly College has an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated recent graduate to join a successful Music department from September 2020. 

The role involves assisting the Director of Music in the life and work of a busy and successful Music department. It would suit somebody considering a teaching career, though no teaching experience or qualification is required.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about music, who has a love of learning and who wishes to share that passion with enthusiastic and energetic young people.

The successful candidate will have very strong keyboard and sight-reading skills and the ability to play the organ would be preferred. Having a willing and flexible approach to working, coordinating and collaborating with other teachers and musicians in the department is vital.

The College provides a stimulating teaching environment, with a lively and vibrant Common Room, engaged pupils and supportive parents. Induction and mentoring are provided for all new teachers, both within the department and across the College. An active Professional Development programme enables all staff to enhance their teaching and develop their wider professional skills.

This role is offered initially for a fixed-term period of one year until August 2021. The role is full time, during term-time only and the salary for the role is £14,825.89, inclusive of 4.2 weeks holiday pay. Accommodation is available for the successful candidate, if required.
