Barnsley Academy is a rapidly improving school, and we are seeking to appoint an Assistant Vice-Principal who has the energy, passion, resilience and dedication to further support our leadership team in building on the foundations already in place at Barnsley Academy.

We are aware of the improvements we need to continue to make, particularly in relation to the teaching of Maths, and this is a real area of focus in relation to this appointment. The successful candidate will be a leader who is deeply committed to the highest academic standards, is willing to work in partnership with others and is committed to raising standards in Maths by supporting the development of this department into a future strength of the academy.

The Assistant Vice-Principal of Barnsley Academy will work with the leadership team to lead, motivate and inspire pupils, staff, parents and the wider community, to ensure every student is confident in himself/herself, is respectful of others, achieves well and gains the skills and qualifications to succeed in life and at work.
