For an Easter 2019 or September 2019 start, we are seeking two well-qualified, suitably experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Vice-Principals to join our Senior Leadership Group. You will have strong leadership skills and a proven track-record of exemplary practice as a middle leader, together with the ability to be responsible for an element of whole school strategic development. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to further their leadership journey joining a forward-thinking school that values the professional development and well-being of its entire staff. Applications are welcome from any subject specialism.

The specific requirements of the job description will be determined on appointment. The existing strengths of the Leadership Group members, mean that the persons appointed are more important than any specific responsibilities or experiences they may have in their current post.

The successful candidates must be;

  • Committed to making a difference to the lives of pupils,
  • Ambitious for every child and highly inclusive,
  • Values driven,
  • Passionate about their subject and its impact on learning, with the ability to motivate pupils and achieve excellent results,
  • Resilient with a strong personal drive,
  • Someone who has high expectations of both students and their colleagues,
  • Able to lead the review/development of an aspect of strategic improvement across the school,
  • Someone who can forge positive relationships with students to encourage great learning, and 
  • Someone who has a passion for developing their own leadership learning and the confidence to take risks and experiment with new ideas.
