King Edward VI Sheldon Heath Academy is an oversubscribed 11-18 academy and part of King Edward VI Multi-Academy Trust. Judged to be ‘Good’ in its most recent Ofsted inspection, it serves a vibrant and diverse community.
We seek to appoint a talented, dynamic and enthusiastic Assistant Vice Principal to lead our thriving and successful Sixth Form. The successful applicant will have experience of leading a team, a secure knowledge of post-16 pathways and courses, and the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
Within this role you must be ambitious and able to:
- Work with the Principal and wider senior leadership team to build upon our already successful Sixth Form provision and outcomes.
- Further develop and implement the vision, ethos and direction of the Sixth Form, setting out very high expectations and with clear focus.
- Have strategic oversight of the development and implementation of the UCAS system and of Post-18 progression more generally.
- Ensure that students develop the personal qualities to become an asset to the academy, the life skills to compete for employment and contribute positively to society.
