Dover Christ Church Academy opened in September 2010 and provides an exciting and aspirational learning environment for young people of all abilities between the ages of 11 and 19. With support from our sponsor, Canterbury Christ Church University, we have developed an aspirational and successful Academy where we equip our students with the skills and knowledge they need for their future. Our aim and expectation is that all students will aspire to and achieve their best in all aspects of Academy life, become lifelong learners and are prepared to make a positive contribution to their community.

“The principal and other senior leaders have not wavered in their determination and passion to give all pupils and students the best possible education”. ...Ofsted 2016

A unique feature of our Academy is the Aspen 2 unit, a district specialist provision for 40 secondary aged students with profound, severe and complex learning needs. Throughout their education journey at Aspen 2, all students benefit from the rich and varied inclusive opportunities that we are able to provide; opportunities that are made all the richer by our unique position at the heart of a mainstream Academy.

“The integration of Aspen 2 pupils into mainstream lessons, when appropriate, is held in high esteem by all and adds to the ethos of the academy”. ...Ofsted 2016
