We are excited to be able to recruit a new Associate Assistant Headteacher to strengthen our Teaching and Learning team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and highly effective leader to join a dynamic, experienced and collaborative leadership team who work tirelessly to improve the outcomes and life chances of our young people. The successful candidate will be a full member of our senior leadership team and will oversee the curriculum intent, manage the whole school calendar and performance management process and be the Educational Visits Co-ordinator. Line management of a department and others will form an essential part of this role.


The successful applicant will:

  • be an outstanding classroom teacher with a proven and demonstrable track record of success at GCSE and A Level;
  • have sustained and substantial middle leadership experience within teaching and learning or preferably some senior leadership experience;
  • have a good understanding of current educational developments and educational data relating to the curriculum and teaching and learning;
  • have the highest expectations of students;
  • have energy, stamina and a sense of humour.

Hatch End High School is a highly successful multi-cultural Academy located in Harrow, London.

Sixth-form facilities were opened on the site in 2010 and a brand new rebuild in 2019. The school currently has approximately 1,250 students aged 11-18, including 270 in the Sixth Form.
