Associate Assistant Headteacher leading on Business and Computing/IT –September 2019

L10 – L14

The Governors have decided to expand our Senior Leadership Team with the appointment of an Associate Assistant Headteacher to lead our Business and Computer Science/IT department, as well as take on whole school responsibilities.

This is a great opportunity for a Middle Leader to move into Senior Leadership and play a leading role in contributing to the ongoing rapid improvements seen at our school.

Our Business Studies results are good and improving each year, in 2018 we achieved 70% 9-4 and 19% 9-7. Our first set of Computer Science results were very promising with 57% 9-4 and 14% 9-7 with 16 entries. Our thriving Sixth Form offers a range of A Level and Vocational pathways, including the offer of Business A Level and BTEC Business Diploma. The department would like to continue with the success of Computer Science at GCSE into an A Level in the near future. Following the appointment of a new Head teacher in September 2016, Copthall has seen rapid improvements in standards across the school which resulted in outstanding outcomes for students and featured in the 2017 Parliamentary Review showcasing best practice.

Copthall School is committed to promoting equality, challenging discrimination and developing community cohesion. We welcome applications from all sections of the community. We are committed to the protection of children and vulnerable adults.
