Job overview

This is an exciting new role for a motivated individual experienced in Counter Fraud to support the ongoing development and delivery of the Level 4 Counter Fraud Apprenticeship Programme. This role provides an opportunity to share industry expertise to develop the next generation of Counter Fraud investigators.


You will have direct experience of Counter Fraud through employment within the police force or other counter fraud agency. You will be a qualified teacher/trainer and accredited counter fraud specialist, who has worked in have worked in investigation, intelligence and managing fraud risks. You will be flexible in your approach and have excellent time management and interpersonal skills. This is a role that requires inspirational teaching and going the extra mile to facilitate success. The role will involve both on-line and face to face communication as well as some travel across the Southwest. 

Working alongside an experienced Skills Officer, and as part of an exceptionally well supported team, you will develop the skills to oversee the Apprentice’s journey and ensure that all component elements are in place to ensure success. You will be supported to develop teaching and learning skills in line with Exeter College’s Ofsted Outstanding status.

The role is based in the faculty of Professional and Adult Learning. You will join an exceptional team of experienced professionals who are committed to outstanding teaching and learning and proactive in working with employers and the local community to deliver this. As part of the Exeter College team, you will work directly with learners, teachers, and apprentice mentors to support apprentices’ learning.
