About the role
We are currently seeking Associate Lecturers to teach on the Brand Management and Communication module of our BA (Hons) Marketing & Communications for Fashion degree.
The module explores contemporary fashion brands and examines the strategies that are used to create a unique personality, generate appeal, and develop a ‘desirability factor’ for potential consumers. It examines how brand identity is used as a strategic tool to promote products and build loyalty in consumers, as well as covering the development of values and ethics required to build successful brands.
As an Associate Lecturer, you will plan, organise and deliver exceptional teaching activities for this module, ensuring every student receives the highest quality teaching, learning and feedback, successfully preparing them for roles in industry. You will be responsible for creating and delivering industry relevant module content, in line with the course and wider programme objectives.
About you
- You will have vast industry experience in Brand Management and Communication.
- You will have teaching experience, preferably in Higher Education.
- You will have a good understanding of fashion marketing and integrated marketing communication strategies.
- You will have strong people skills and the ability to lead, motivate and collaborate with colleagues to ensure the effective development and delivery of the module.
- Ideally, you will have a degree in Fashion Business, Marketing, Retail or Management, or a related subject.
- You will have the ability to organise and plan work, set priorities, and respond to pressures, deadlines, and changes in schedules.
- A good knowledge of the other specialist areas through teaching in Higher Education and/or working within the Fashion and Retail Industry is also desirable.
- This role is suited to a subject specialist who is passionate about delivering a highly industry relevant and student-centred curriculum.
