The Stourport High School & VIth Form College is part of the Severn Academies Educational Trust and as a result benefits from an extensive Teaching School Alliance, SCITT programme and support and collaboration from both the secondary and primary schools within this Multi Academy Trust.   You will be committed to achieving excellent teaching and learning, bringing new ideas and approaches to lead every aspect of school life. Your enthusiasm, motivation and determination to lead the academy will be evident, maximising the potential of students and staff.

Working within the Trust you will join a dynamic team of talented Headteachers to raise standards across all our schools in the Wyre Forest.   This post offers the right candidate the opportunity to really make their mark, formulating a long term strategy to lead a hardworking and dynamic team of staff and students to achieve their best, along with the potential to work more widely across this developing Multi Academy Trust.

You will have:

  • Recent successful senior leadership experience in a high school;
  • Proven track record of raising and maintaining standards;
  • An ambition to take up a full Principal role in the future;
  • Evidence of successfully leading and managing change in pursuit of strategic objectives;
  • Ability to hold staff to account, using effective performance management to achieve continuous improvement;
  • Reliability, integrity and resilience.

Working with the CEO and Trust’s Leadership Team offers the opportunity for a high quality individual to further develop their leadership skills in a supportive yet challenging context to build on the existing strengths of the school. Our school is fully staffed, inclusive, popular and complemented by a supportive Local Governing Body.   Our family of leaders learn and benefit from each other’s experiences through the Trust's Headteacher Group. We are now looking for an ambitious leader with well-developed interpersonal skills and a personal value set to play a key role in the next stage of our development.

We have much more to say and show about our approach, our context and the opportunities ahead. Stourport High School & VIth Form College has a “can do” attitude. We are looking for a “can do” leader.
