The Cedars Academy in Birstall, Leicestershire is a ‘good’ school seeking to appoint an Inspirational, Associate Principal to work in partnership with the Executive Principal to lead the Academy to outstanding.

The Cedars Academy is an 11 to 18 academy in Birstall Leicester which has recently been rated ‘Good’ in all categories by OfSTED. The Cedars Academy is part of the growing Lionheart Academies Trust which is led by ‘Outstanding’ Beauchamp College. As the Trust grows there are increasing opportunities for professional development, sharing of good practices and collaborative work across the Trust.

The Cedars Academy facilitates a Speech & Language Centre which offers a provision for children and young people with a Statement of Educational Needs. The Centre is an integral part of the academy with staff and pupils fully involved in the academic and social life of the school. The philosophy is to provide an inclusive environment for the pupils: they benefit from a range of learning opportunities and at the heart of the academy’s provision is quality first teaching.
