Reach South Academy Trust is seeking three Exceptional Associate School Leaders

Post: Associate School Leader x 3

· Associate School Leader with a specialism in English

· Associate School Leader with a specialism in Mathematics

· Associate School Leader with strengths across the whole of primary   education

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week. Part time working will be considered

Location: This role will be predominantly based in Plymouth. You will be required to be flexible as your place of work may vary across the Trust, with academies located in Plymouth, Wiltshire and Bournemouth.

Background: Reach South is a new and dynamic charitable education Trust based in the South West. First established in Plymouth with eight founding primary academies; these were subsequently joined in November 2017 by its first Special Academy, based in Wiltshire, and then very recently, by two further primary academies in Bournemouth during March this year.

Reach South is a part of the REACH family of MATs. The founding Trust, REAch2 Academy Trust, was launched by its founder Sir Steve Lancashire in 2012 and now operates 55 primary academies across the Midlands and South East of England. Reach South operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education.

We are building this Trust on a clear set of values, behaviours and curriculum principles. At the heart of those values and principles is a belief in our young people and a determination to support them to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes to become the successful citizens for today and all of their tomorrows. Our vision is to enable individual academies to flourish with real autonomy, whilst also ensuring a strong ethos of support and collaboration across our schools.

Teachers within Reach South belong to a national community of professionals, and benefit from a wide range of networks and development opportunities across the Trust. In time, our best teachers are able to work across schools, develop specialisms and step up to leadership roles within and beyond their own academy. The Trust provides a strong culture of collaboration and support, together with high expectations for staff and pupils alike.

Those we recruit are able to demonstrate that they share our values, are highly motivated to work with colleagues within and beyond their school to continuously develop their skills and pursue professional excellence, and are committed to providing the highest standards of teaching for all children. If that is you then we would be delighted to receive your application.

Our core business is delivering exceptional education for children and young people. We do that through the development of a talented and committed work force. In order to deliver exceptional opportunities for learning, we need highly motivated staff across the organisation and therefore we are looking for an outstanding individual to lead on all people management matters.

For an informal chat, please contact: Sarah Findlay-Cobb, Regional Director on 07392 866263

Closing Date:  Sunday 10 June 2018

Opportunities and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary plus pension, 28 days’ holiday plus bank holidays rising to 31 days after 5 years, great career progression and development opportunities with many other benefits.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Each post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Reach South Academy Trust has an Equal Opportunities Policy for selection and recruitment. Applicants are requested to complete and return the Equal Opportunities Monitoring form separately with their application.
