Attainment Advisor
Attainment Advisors engage in a range of activities to promote equity and to raise attainment and achievement. The role is focused on the national priority of closing the poverty related attainment gap. They are senior staff within our regional teams working closely with local authorities.
We welcome applications from people across Scotland with the following skills:
- Significant experience of working in a leadership capacity with proven positive impact.
- A strong understanding of emerging developments across Scottish education and a sound understanding of the impact of poverty on educational outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work well in teams and with stakeholders demonstrating excellent communication skills while managing and delivering on evidence and data-led projects.
- The ability to lead others while delivering projects and programmes leading to reporting on their impact.
Interviews will take place in Inverness, Aberdeen and Glasgow

Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education for Scotland, the National CPD team and the Scottish Government’s Positive Behaviour Team.
