The Attendance and Educational Welfare Manager will be responsible for promoting excellent school attendance, through a whole school approach involving students, parents/carers and engaging with agencies (as appropriate) to improve the outcomes for our students. The post holder will work closely with teaching staff to devise and lead strategies to raise attendance and reduce persistent absence, overcome barriers and maximise students' participation in learning and active engagement in school life.

The successful candidate will be a committed team player but also be capable of working promptly and proactively with minimal supervision. You will require a calm and composed manner, outstanding communication skills and be able to nurture positive working relationships with students, parents/carers, staff and school leaders.

The successful candidate is required to have a good working knowledge of school management information software (Arbor) and be efficient on Microsoft Applications, including Word and Excel. You must have GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/Level 4 or above. In addition, a full valid, clean driving licence and access to own vehicle for work purposes is a mandatory requirement (mileage will be reimbursed).
