37 hours per week, term time only + 5 days

Bordesley Multi Academy Trust, a growing MAT based in Redditch, Worcestershire, currently consisting of four schools; Holyoakes Field First, Birchensale Middle, Woodfield Middle and Trinity High School, are looking to appoint an excellent Attendance and Welfare Officer to oversee support with pupils with poor attendance at school. This position will involve working with a number of schools within the Trust; currently this is Birchensale Middle School and Woodfield Academy.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of appropriate statutory legislation and understand the challenges faced by students and families. You will have the ability to provide clear professional advice on matters relating to attendance, be highly organised, comfortable working at pace and to tight deadlines, and have the ability to make decisions with changing priorities. The job requires the successful candidate to be able to visit and support pupils who are struggling to attend school, and support each school’s pastoral team with the paperwork surrounding pupil attendance.
