Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an able, enthusiastic, skilled and committed Attendance Manager to support the school in raising standards of attendance through the effective management of well-staged attendance procedures and protocols. The successful candidate will be passionate about children’s learning and emotional wellbeing and have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

This role will involve working under the direction of the school’s pastoral lead to:

  • Be the first point of contact for all matters relating to attendance
  • Maintain and monitor attendance records
  • Implement necessary staged procedure
  • Support and challenge families with a focus on improving attendance
  • Reduce the number of persistence absences

In addition you will need to be highly literate, numerate and able to work as part of a team. ICT skills and familiarity with SIMs are essential together with an up to date knowledge of current legislation and experience of implementing statutory regulations for attendance.We are committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. It is a requirement that all staff working in our academies have enhanced DBS clearance.

Farnborough Spencer Academy launched on 1st September 2014 and officially converted to being part of the Spencer Academies Trust from 1st October 2018.The academy  provides the young people of Clifton and the surrounding areas with wide ranging opportunities. Firmly rooted in the local community ,our aim is to provide high quality education for up to 1000 young people giving everyone the chance to shine brightly.

The academy is on a path of rapid improvement and we are proud of how rapidly the quality of teaching and the behaviour of pupils has developed in the past two years leading to the best ever GCSE results in August 2018.
