The Governors seek to appoint an Attendance Mentor to join our excellent Student Services Team.  An important part of your role as Attendance Mentor will be to oversee the attendance of vulnerable student’s and liaise with the Learning Mentors who are attached to specific year groups, to ensure that attendance is above National Average and that all measures are taken by all year groups to meet this target.  He or she will also work with the Strategic Director - Safeguarding to ensure that all vulnerable students are supported using the appropriate Pastoral Support Plans.  You will be required to keep up-to-date and accurate records of the impact of specific strategies on specific students and on specific areas of concern.  Your attendance will be required for calendared evening events, such as, open evenings, academic review days, Year 6 transition/induction evening, getting started evenings, and any other directed events.
