The purpose of the attendance officer is to oversee and facilitate excellent attendance across the school. The post holder will deal with pupils, parent and external agencies in collaboration with school leaders as well as ensure that statutory school attendance requirements are fulfilled, along with associated meetings and communications. The post holder may also be required to prepare information for legal proceedings. The post holder should have excellent ICT skills (SIMS experience is desirable) and be able to produce detailed reports for leadership team members when required.
For this post, we are looking to appoint someone who has:
- Experience of working with young people
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working within an educational or similar setting
- A high level of confidence in working with Microsoft packages and SIMS
