We are seeking an outstanding colleague with a passion for supporting young people, to join our team at the Nottingham Academy as an Attendance Officer. This is a key role within the structure that involves working across both of the primary sites and with the Senior Leadership team. 

You will be responsible for monitoring and managing pupils’ daily attendance and have a strong commitment to improving attendance rates and reducing lateness, through working with pupils and families, developing and implementing bespoke support programmes. This will include home visits. 

The successful attendance officer must have an understanding of school systems and issues affecting non-school attendance.

You will:

· have the ability to read, assess and report on attendance data.

· possess excellent interpersonal skills

· be accurate, methodical and well organised

· have outstanding ICT skills across a range of software

· able to prioritise work and remain calm under pressure.

· have experience in producing strategies for improving relationships between families and schools. 

Previous experience of working directly with children in an educational setting would be an advantage.
