Contract: 37 hours per week, TTO + 5 days, Permanent

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with relevant experience and a high level of personal drive and energy, who will be able to contribute to improving the attendance of the pupils in our large, friendly secondary school. You will be self-motivated, exceptionally well organised and a good team worker.

The successful applicant will record, monitor and challenge student attendance in collaboration with colleagues from within the school and external agencies. An effective Attendance Officer is highly organised and will be required to input and update student attendance data, analyse that data and communicate clearly with parents and external agencies. Experience of excel spreadsheets and using computerised databases would be an advantage. Working in a busy environment, the successful applicant will need to be flexible and able to work under pressure, with excellent interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualities:

• Excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills

• Excellent skills in terms analysing data and producing reports

• Provide high level of support to teachers and pupils

• Commitment, flexibility and enthusiasm

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
