We are looking to recruit a self-motivated and enthusiastic Attendance Officer to join our Pastoral Team. The successful candidate will be passionate about education, resilient, solution focused and have excellent interpersonal skills. The successful applicant will provide effective and efficient student support focusing on attendance and punctuality and work closely with staff, students and families to improve and maintain whole school attendance.

Experience of school attendance is preferred but not essential as training, support and guidance will be provided. Experience of working in a school or similar environment would be an advantage, but is not required.

About Altwood Church of England School

Altwood Church of England School is a mixed 11-18 secondary school and the only Church of England secondary school in Maidenhead, Berkshire.  Altwood School converted to academy status in August 2012. The pupil roll is around 780, including some 140 students who attend the school’s sixth form.

In 1836, the school site was home to Boyn Hill Church of England Senior Girls School and St Lukes Church of England Secondary Boys School but in 1907 the two schools merged to produce a coeducational school called Altwood Church of England Secondary School. Altwood School became a comprehensive school in 1975 and a Business and Enterprise College specialist school in 2007.

Altwood Church of England School welcomes pupils of all faiths and no faith, but expects its Christian ethos to be respected.
