We are currently looking to appoint an effective and caring Attendance Support Worker on a part time basis from January 2017 (or sooner if possible). Although this position is initially part time, there is the possibility it could advance into a larger position.
The successful candidate will join our pastoral team to manage attendance across the school, maintaining and continuing to promote high standards of attendance and punctuality.
The post will include:
- developing and implementing strategies to support the school’s drive to improve attendance and punctuality and to reduce persistent absence.
- reducing persistent absences and improving school attendance and punctuality, in order to support optimal attainment by pupils.
- challenging and supporting families to ensure regular school attendance.
- Making home visits when required (both regular and unannounced visits)
