We’re looking for a Autism Learning and Development Manager for our brand new Nursery, Syon Nursery in Isleworth


As the Autism Learning & Development manager, you will play a critical role in the overall development of the Autism Learning & Development Centre and service it provides. The centre aims to provide a support service for parents of young children on the Autism spectrum and associated neurodevelopment al difficulties. The service will run alongside a newly developed specialist nursery provision (co-located on the same site) in Isleworth, Middlesex.  The ALDC will provide training, workshops & support groups for parents of children attending the nursery in addition to external customers.


This is an exciting new role and will give you an opportunity to work creatively, designing a comprehensive and innovative range of learning opportunities and social activities for families. With access to our highly experienced Clinical Hub (Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Clinical Psychologists and Dance/Drama Therapists), you will co-ordinate and facilitate workshops, courses, and support clinics for the parents of children attending the nursery. You will actively  promote these courses and support clinics externally to the wider public in order to build the centre’s reputation as a hub for learning and understanding Autism/SEND.   


Essential Criteria: 


Experience/working knowledge  in the field of Autism/SEN (professionally or personally)

Ability to plan workloads and set priorities

Ability to work on own initiative

Ability to organise timetables/rotas (For the delivery of courses/workshops)  

Ability to communicate effectively

The belief that all children deserve a life of choice and opportunity

Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all children

Excellent team player

Ability to work successfully with Parents of children with SEND

Resilience

Willing to undertake training

Desirable Criteria: 


Experience of working with children with SEND, specifically ASC

Business development/Marketing experience

Ability to identify and draw upon high-quality research to inform practice

Experience of supporting colleagues and bringing about improved practice

Pro-active in seeking out opportunities for professional development

Evidence of continually improving the outcomes for families

Driving Licence
