The Learning & Enterprise College Bexley and the Engine House Bexley are collaborating on an exciting and innovative project based around 3D design, development and manufacture.  We have a state of the art facility at the Engine House Bexley that will provide commercial training alongside 3D services to the local Bexley business community.

We are looking for and experienced 3D CAD trainer/teacher. The position is a permanent full-time role, comprising of 36 hours per week, and with 26 hours of contact time and the remainder to be used to prepare for your teaching and the promotion of the facility. The role will involve teaching the learners/delegates 2D/3D CAD skills, culminating in 3D printing of the artefacts. All of the sessions will be classroom-based, and be delivered using the Autodesk suite, with a focus on the Fusion 360 package.

We are looking for an experienced practitioner who promotes innovation and produces exceptional teaching, learning and assessment, which is at the heart of this role. The successful candidate will lead on the delivery and development of the facility whilst creating a positive culture of high aspirations and continuous improvement. 

Key responsibilities, skills and attitudes

  • Autodesk accredited
  • Knowledge of CAD systems and creating/manipulating 3D models in AutoCAD/Fusion 360
  • Analytical approach with problem solving skills
  • IT Literate
  • Flexible and approachable 
  • Certificate in education or other recognised teaching qualification
