Beauty Therapy Tutor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Beauty Therapy Tutor to join the team on a part time, claims basis. In return, you will receive a competitive rate of £21.91 - £35.72 per hour dependent on prior experience and qualifications.

We are a high-achieving college who attract around 2,800 sixth form students across the region each year. We are based within the stunning New Forest National Park and offer our students a huge range of courses and superb facilities.

About the role:

As the Beauty Therapy Tutor, you will teach part time Beauty Therapy courses to adults in New Milton.

You will be required to work 18.00 to 21.30 two evenings a week, term time.

Responsibilities as our Beauty Therapy Tutor will include:

• Deliver Beauty Therapy Courses Levels 2 to 3 to part time adult learners

• Mark registers and provide data in line with College policies   

• Work closely with the HOC, particularly with regards to the recruitment, monitoring of learner progress

• Pay due attention to the principles of inclusive learning

• Contribute to the design, delivery and future planning and development of curriculum

• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of developments and research in Accounting and Finance

As our Beauty Therapy Tutor, you’ll ideally have:

• Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification or equivalent

• A willingness to study towards a teaching qualification (if applicable)

• 3 years’ experience working in Beauty Therapy

• Experience of mentoring and supporting team members

• Knowledge and understanding of current developments in the Beauty industry

• Flexibility

• Effective communication skills

• High level of attention to detail

• Evidence of working towards and achieving personal targets

• Good administrative and organisational skills

• Supportive and positive approach to teaching/learning

• Ability to work collaboratively with the colleagues
