Job overview

We are looking a committed and passionate Behaviour Assistant to work within our large pastoral team at Marine Academy. You will be a key part of large team working with our students to ensure that their behaviour and mindset are exactly where we need them to be in order for them to succeed. You will mostly work within our own alternative provision- Harbourside. Here you will be with other colleagues, working alongside a small group of students who need further support in order to meet the demands of our curriculum as well as support enabling them to succeed in mainstream education.

You will need to be a patient individual with a passion to ensure that some of our most vulnerable students receive the support they need if they are to have the opportunities to succeed after their education with us comes to an end. This is a very rewarding position and you will work alongside likeminded colleagues as part of team to ensure that our sky-high expectations of students are met at all times.

About Marine Academy Plymouth

Marine Academy is a 11-18 comprehensive in Plymouth. We are undoubtedly one of the most improved schools in the country and passionately believe that every child who leaves us in Year 13 should have the opportunity to attend University.

We have a much higher than average intake of students eligible for free school meals but believe this is no excuse for poor behaviour, low expectations or poor outcomes. It is our mission to ensure all of our children go on to achieve great things.
