We are looking for a committed and passionate Behaviour Lead to work within our large pastoral team at West Exe School. You will be a key part of a large team working with our students to ensure that their behaviour and mindset are exactly where we need them to be in order for them to succeed. As well as being part of a larger group, you will lead your own team who run our internal exclusion area and you will have oversight of this key provision. As Behaviour Lead, you will work closely with our Senior Leaders in charge of inclusion and you will be expected to help support excellent behaviour around the school through on-call walks, lunchtime duties and being on school gate with Senior Leaders greeting students each morning. You will help initiate and provide further interventions for students who are struggling to meet the high expectations we place upon them. Above all else you must passionately believe that every child should have the opportunity to attend University when they leave us.
You will need to be a patient individual with a passion to ensure that some of our most vulnerable students receive the support they need if they are to have the opportunities to succeed after their education with us comes to an end. This is a very rewarding position and you will develop excellent relationships with a relatively small number of students who require our continued support to succeed at school. You must have a firm belief that consistency, high expectations and clear routines are fundamental to the success of our students.
West Exe School is a highly successful secondary school in the beautiful city of Exeter and without doubt, the greatest place to work in the Southwest. We have an unashamedly academic curriculum, disruption free classrooms and an unrivalled staff development programme.
