The Stanground Academy are looking for an outstanding Learning Mentor to join their team with a focus on behaviour. 

The successful Learning Mentor will support Teachers to ensure that pupils engage more effectively with their learning and help increase levels of achievement through appropriate provision. They will also be required to cover lessons across the academy and work with both individual pupils and small groups. This is a great opportunity to combine mentoring skills whilst working in a supportive environment. 

The ideal candidates will: 


  • be able to      demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies
  • be well      organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
  • have the      ability to engage constructively with and relate to a wide range of young      people from different backgrounds
  • possess      excellent communication skills, at all levels.

The new Stanground Academy opened on 1 April 2012 and is one of the Greenwood Academies Trust’s Group of Academies, replacing the predecessor Stanground College.
