Chobham Academy opened in September 2013 after joining the highly successful group of Harris academies. This Ofsted 'Outstanding' rated 3-18 academy is a world class educational legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Situated within the new East Village complex, the academy serves the community to be established in 2,800 new homes, along with existing communities in Newham, Waltham Forest and nearby London Boroughs. Chobham was awarded 'outstanding across every category' in June 2015.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced individual to join our current team to work at the Federation's flagship academy. You will need a minimum of two years' experience in a similar role and excellent interpersonal skills.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Support the consistent implementation of the academy Behaviour for Learning policy
  • Take responsibility for the calm and purposeful entrance and exit of students into/out of the academy
  • Work effectively with the other members of the behaviour team as a unit to ensure students are monitored and supervised before school, during break and throughout lunch
  • Take responsibility for calm and purposeful movement around the academy between lessons.
  • Manage afternoon detentions.
  • Act as the liaison between the academy and the local community, including the police, for any aspect of behaviour issues arising during the academy day (including truancy sweeps and liaising with local shopkeepers)
  • Oversee the entrance of students into the breakfast club in line with the agreed system;
  • Ensure that students enter the building in full academy uniform and, if not, follow the agreed procedures
  • Ensure that faculty points are awarded as appropriate
