Based in SEN School in Bradford
Immediate start (or after Easter 2018)
In addition to the Keighley role, we also have a requirement for an experienced full time support staff member in the north west Bradford area.
This is a full time role working partially on a 1:1 basis with a student who is new to school who is experiencing some behavioural difficulties as part of his wider special needs.
This student is KS2 and has emotional and social needs as well as ASC. We require somebody calm, hard-working and dedicated to supporting young people they work with .
You will have a proven record of supporting children in other environments within EITHER a mainstream or special school environment.
Team Teach training is a must, and we can provide a fully expensed course during Easter holidays for those who have not completed this recently.
Working hours are 8.30-3.30pm and the pay for this role will be between £62 and £69 (per day). Your timetable will include working one to one part of the day, as well as rotating to work with other students to keep interaction varied for the young person.
This school is well resourced and staffed by some excellent practitioners, and a high standard of candidate is required. You will be paid in accordance with the school’s pay scales for their own staff, and pending the success of the post, will have the opportunity to apply for this post on a permanent basis with school.
Up to date training in Safeguarding training is essential and we will require you to complete a 6 hour course with us (free of charge) if you have not completed a certified course in the last 9 months.
