The Northworthy Trust are inviting applications for the above post based at Merrill Academy in Derby. The successful applicant will be professional, adaptable, and dedicated to providing and leading high level Behaviour support in all areas of the Academy. 

They will have the ability to work well within a team they lead, yet able to work unsupervised utilising their own initiative. They will be able to demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behavior, which are expected of our students and will establish and maintain a safe and supportive environment for all.  The postholder will lead on behaviour support initiatives within the Academy, delivering training to staff and working closely with the Deputy Headteacher.  They will have a calm and non-confrontational manner with strong communication skills, being confident working with a wide range of stakeholders and external agencies.  

In addition, the applicant will be able to demonstrate their experience of working in a similar role and their suitability to working within a busy secondary school environment. GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or above in Maths, English and Science are essential.  Relevant professional qualifications and/or a First Aid qualification are desirable.
