Job overview

About us: Aspire is a multi-academy trust led by Debra Rutley NLE. We have three AP schools in Buckinghamshire, a nurture school, a hospital teaching service, a medical needs and home tuition service, as well as leading a number of outreach and wellbeing projects in schools across the county. Students attend full or part-time and are referred to us by schools and the Local Authority. Our focus is to support young people, together with their families and schools, to reach beyond their potential and enable them to flourish by developing positive behaviours, attitudes and aspirations.

About the role: Our Behaviour Support Teams are responsible for ensuring that students are able to manage their social, emotional and/or mental health needs, and therefore succeed in their learning. Our teams are on call throughout the day to support students, to help them de-escalate when in crisis, and to help them make things right after any incidents. Our teams also support students with pastoral issues such as well-being, safeguarding and attendance. We are working to develop the work of the team alongside our Strategic Lead for SEND in order to plan and deliver interventions to support students pro-actively, not just reactively, with their SEMH. You need to be prepared to work across sites according to the needs of our pupils.

About you: Our ideal candidate might already have experience in this kind of setting, or you might have related experience of behaviour management and working with challenging, vulnerable children and young people.

We are looking for someone who is creative and resilient. You will need to be happy to do whatever it takes to ensure that we meet our aims of ensuring that all children make great progress academically as well as with their social, emotional and/or mental health difficulties.

We are looking for extraordinary people to join our team. We look forward to meeting you!
