Behaviour Support Worker

Term Time plus Training Days 36 hours per week

Salary - £21,163 - £23,192 (actual salary)

We are seeking to recruit a Behaviour Support Worker at The Mosslands School, situated in the heart of the Wallasey community. Mosslands has a history of excellence in engineering and technology which has seen it grow into the STE@M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) Centre of Excellence that it is today.

·        The position is to support the school behaviour management system in promoting positive behaviour for all pupils in and outside of the classroom. The successful applicant will be the sole supervisor of the school reflection room, so the ability and confidence to work alone is essential.

·        The reflection room provides an opportunity for students to reconsider inappropriate behaviours and attitudes to learning and prepare for reintegration to the classroom. The postholder for this role will facilitate this and decide on next steps to either reintegrate the student or refer to the house pastoral lead in cases of non-compliance.

·        This role will also require supervision of after school detentions in support of the pastoral and senior teams.

·        Excellent opportunity to join a school which has just been granted funding for a rebuild. We are delighted by the news that the school will be rebuilt in the next couple of years. The new building will give our students access to an educational experience that their talents deserve.

Full training will be provided and applicants should possess good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with young people.

Further information and an application form are available to

download on the school’s website, www.mosslands.co.uk, or by contacting the

school on 0151 638 8131.

Please apply by letter and application form and send the completed application to:

Mr. A Whiteley. Headteacher, The Mosslands School, Mosslands Drive, Wallasey, Wirral CH45 8PJ

or by email to: Debbiegreen@mosslands.wirral.sch.uk (PA to Headteacher)

Closing date: 3pm on Monday 19th June 2023

Any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS clearance, medical and references.

We have a mixed Sixth Form which offers a wide range of academic and vocational provision and is carefully matched to the needs and aspirations of our students.
