Helping tomorrow’s citizens to flourish
We are seeking a Biology NQT to join our growing School at an exciting time in its development. Our NQT programme has been commended by the National Induction Panel for Teachers as being of the highest standard.
As a Biology teacher in our forward-thinking and friendly department, you’ll be able use your enthusiasm and experience to help shape the development of a new Key Stage 4 curriculum. Alongside this, you’ll have the opportunity to teach A-level biology to our large community of ambitious and enthusiastic young people in our vibrant Sixth Form. Together with our links with the School of Education at University of Birmingham we are able to provide high class support and development. As a School we offer 10 teacher training days together with Friday PM developmental and teaching and learning CPD. A relocation package may be available dependent upon circumstances.
We take a collaborative approach to planning, and have adopted a knowledge-based curriculum to allow our students the best opportunity to learn from the expertise of their teachers. Our facilities and resources are outstanding, with spacious and light laboratories, and we have an exciting programme of CPD opportunities for our staff, enhanced through innovative links with the University of Birmingham and other partners. At the University of Birmingham School, we want all staff to flourish, and if you join us, you’ll find a place where your development is given the attention it deserves, alongside that of our whole community.
