The British International School Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint a teacher of Biology to join a well-established, supportive team in a highly successful and expanding school.

About You

You will be a teacher who is passionate about their profession and seeks continuous improvement. You will have strong experience of the UK national curriculum; further experience of international education will be an added advantage.

You will be responsible for encouraging and developing further our culture of inspiration, enjoyment and success. Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will have good interpersonal skills and the ability and confidence to build strong working relationships. The flexibility and open-mindedness to adapt quickly to a fast-paced international environment are essential.

About the Role

The Science Department follows the UK National Curriculum up to IGCSE and then the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Experience with both of these curricula would be a distinct advantage. The appointee will be expected to teach Biology at all levels and general Science at Key Stage 3. He or she will also maintain a collaborative approach to supporting other Science colleagues and contributing to the team as a whole. Selection Process

Applicants should submit a CV, letter of application and the details of two professional referees, one of which should be your current Head Teacher/Principal.

The closing date for application is 7th January 2017. First stage interviews will be conducted by Skype or telephone and final interviews will take place either by Skype or at the Nord Anglia Education Recruitment Event in central London from 19th – 21st January 2017.

The start date is mid-August 2016.

BIS Abu Dhabi is a growing school; we currently serve more than 2000 students from 3 to 18 years old that follow the best in British and international curricula, including the English National Curriculum, Cambridge IGCSE, and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and BTEC (Business).
