Job overview

The Royal School is a co-educational day and boarding independent school from nursery to sixth form. Senior School is located on a beautiful 25 acre site in Haslemere, Surrey in an area renowned for its natural beauty. The school is academically ambitious for all its pupils. Our purpose-built boarding house was opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II offering pupils outstanding pastoral care and a fun, vibrant, warm community. The school site comprises of 26 acres of beautiful grounds with spectacular views across National Trust heathland and woodland. Our QEII boarding house has a friendly atmosphere and a strong, supportive community of boarders. Collaboration and support for each other are strongly engrained in what we do and how we do it.  We are a supportive and flexible team, running a growing boarding house of 25 pupils. This will suit someone who might be interested in eventually training to take on a Houseparent role.  

About The Role

The Boarding Assistant will be energetic and organised, someone who has a ‘can do’ attitude who will enjoy working with children to motivate and inspire them. The individual in this role will provide an excellent boarding experience whilst supporting the holistic nature of a boarding education and ensuring that the environment is one which is caring, safe and responsive to boarders’ needs and welfare.  Please refer to the job description for a full list of duties and responsibilities.
