Founded in 1984, Rochester Independent College is a day and boarding school offering a fresh alternative to traditional independent education for students from the age of 11 to 19 and boarders from 15. There is no uniform, students and staff are on first name terms, and the average class size is eight. Boarding on our unique urban campus is for 80+ students and students are a mixture of domestic and international students, following our GCSE or A-Level programmes.
Boarding supervisors are responsible, under the direction of our Head of Boarding for ensuring the safety, good discipline and pastoral well-being of all boarders. Applications are welcomed from those with either teaching or non-teaching backgrounds but applicants must be energetic, enthusiastic and have a genuine interest in working with young people and contributing towards the life of our boarding community.
This is a residential post and accommodation will be provided along with meals during term time.
