Job Title:       Bookkeeper

Organisation: Inclusion Hampshire

Hours: 15 hours per week (days to be discussed at interview)

Starting Salary: £23,000.00-£28,000 per annum pro rata (based on experience)

We are looking for someone who will undertake bookkeeping responsibilities with a vibrant and growing education based charity in Basingstoke, Hampshire. Reporting to the Finance Officer. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing purchase invoices and expenses
  • Processing of staff expenses and debit card / prepaid card transactions 
  • Processing sales invoices and issue to customers
  • Processing payments
  • Bank reconciliations and cash flow management
  • Monthly bank reconciliations 
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and manual journals as required
  • Support monthly payroll process
  • Provide monthly financial results to the management team
  • Support resolution of queries from the auditors
  • Ad hoc reporting.


Qualifications and experience required:

  • Certified bookkeeper with either ICB, AAT or IAB or similar 
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
  • Experience of using SAGE Business Cloud (or similar package)
  • Competent with MS office software in particular Excel
  • Organised and structured
  • Awareness and interest in the charity / education sector.

  • To undertake other duties as reasonably deemed appropriate by the Line Manager/s for the role or the Chief Executive
  • This document will form the focus for Performance Management and will be integral in any subsequent review.
