Job summary

To provide day-to-day quality childcare provision and support the inclusion lead during breakfast club.  

The successful candidate should:  

  • Have an interest in the needs of children.  
  • Be proactive and flexible.  
  • Is enthusiastic, friendly, and approachable.  
  • Developing and maintaining good communication with all members of the community including parents/carers, children, Inclusion lead, Headteacher and other organisations.  
  • Work within the framework of Riverside Primary School’s policy and procedures and the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The ideal candidate will be either an experienced childcare practitioner or somebody with the right qualities who is keen to learn, who will engage and inspire the children through extra-curricular activities and learning outside the classroom and uphold the ethos and values of the school. 

The school is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and as such all appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check. Appointments are also subject to satisfactory references/medical clearance
