We are a highly successful College renowned as a Centre of Excellence for Sport, Exercise and Fitness. We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and organised individual to work within our Sport Department with a specific area of responsibility within the Elite Sport team to lead and coordinate the British Athletics Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) regional programme, based at Loughborough.  

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the athlete’s development through the programme and confirming their potential to transition onto the next stage of the British Athletics performance pathway. They will play an important role in developing relationships with the regional centre athletes & personal coaches, supporting the Individual Athlete Planning (IAP) process and ensuring athletes have all the necessary support and guidance to make progress.  The post holder will oversee the athletic development of all athletes, as well coaching their event specific group at contact days.  They will provide a key link between British Athletics and the athletes/coaches on programme.

The post holder will be responsible for: organising/delivering contact days; coaching athletes; overseeing a team of event specific coaches and sport science support staff; facilitating effective review and target setting process with all athletes and personal coaches; and supporting and assessing learners as part of the DiSE qualification.  

This post will require some weekend and evening work and the post holder must have a clean driver’s license.
