Job overview
We are looking for an inspirational and enthusiastic teacher to deliver BTEC Health and Social Care as well as BTEC Childcare to students in KS4/5.
This is a part time position - 2/3 days per week.
We are a small, but rapidly growing, independent mainstream school with a specialist setting in Hampshire. We are a coeducational school, looking after students from 4 to 19 years of age. Our student cohort is diverse and as such, we are looking for candidates who can adapt their delivery of lessons to help students achieve their potential.
Candidates should experience delivering learning to students with SEND.
This is an exciting new role and we are looking for a teacher who is happy to develop it and bring new ideas to their classroom.
Hurst Lodge is committed the safety and wellbeing of the young people in our care. All applicants are required to provide at least two references and successful candidates must undertake an enhanced DBS check and appropriate safeguarding training as deemed necessary by the school.
Please note that we are unable to sponsor international applicants.

We are an inclusive community that is sensitive to the individual needs of our learners. We hold the highest aspirations for each pupil and we give them the support they need to thrive. As a parent, you can be assured of our commitment to help them grow in confidence and to flourish socially, vocationally, and academically.
Learning and discovery are the cornerstones of our philosophy. We believe time at school should be purposeful and that children should feel a sense of fulfilment every day. We encourage them to learn through self-expression and participation, making the greatest use of their abilities and channelling their energies.
Students aren’t tethered to the classroom at Hurst Lodge, they are given the space and the time to explore, experiment and test themselves. Along the way, they learn about risks, develop independence, nurture relationships and build self-belief, all of which benefits their educational development and will continue to benefit them as they go out into the world.
