As we move into an exciting new phase at Academies Enterprise Trust (AET), we are seeking to appoint a Building Operations Assistant to join our London cluster of schools.

The new structure consists of a Building Operations Supervisor supported by Building Operations Assistants who will provide site services to our academies within the cluster.

This role will be predominantly based at Newlands Academy but you will be required to work across our other school sites within the cluster; Richmond Park Academy and Kingsley Academy.

Working alongside our Building Operations Supervisor, we are looking for someone who can use their own initiative and be able to use their DIY skills to good effect. As an enthusiastic, proactive, customer focussed organised individual you will ensure that our school functions safely and effectively on a daily basis.

You will have previous experience in a similar role, be highly motivated, organised, full of initiative, and common sense, with a proven ability to work effectively under pressure, dealing with multiple tasks to meet time deadlines. You will have the ability to work as part of a team and relate well and build positive relationships with staff and key stakeholders.

As part of the National Building Operations team, you join colleagues who are focused on ensuring the safe, economic and effective operation of all Trust buildings and grounds.

As  the sponsor, AET believes that all young people deserve to become world-class learners – to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first rate educational environment with the best facilities, the best teaching and the most up-to-date resources available to them.  In each of our academies, you will benefit from visionary, inspirational and dynamic leadership and be empowered to develop your own skills with access to world-class CPD and Talent Management programmes.  You will also be entitled to the following benefits: a health cash plan, Local Government pension scheme and childcare vouchers.

This position is due to commence as soon as possible.

Closing date:  Sunday 20 May 2018.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response.  All candidates are advised to refer to the job description and person specification before making an application.
