Job overview

We are seeking an experienced school bursar to take on a new post in the school as we move forward to further build the skill set and capacity of our core Finance and Administration team. 

The roles core focus is to ensure finance are well managed to carry out the work of Stepping Stones  in its charitable objectives.  The Bursar will maintain the school budget including managing contracts and salaries via Finance admin and payroll and will have responsibility for the school premises and its maintenance.

Stepping Stones has grown rapidly over the past 10 years and is now ready to expand to a third site to cater for a Lower and Upper school as well as a small Post 16 provision focusing on Traineeships. 

We currently make provision for 92 children aged 7 – 19 years, with a range of mild disabilities including acute or chronic medical conditions, a range of mild physical disabilities and those youngsters whose mental and/or emotional health is at risk due to their learning disabilities.
