Job overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic administrator, for a 12-month maternity cover, to provide support to our Chief Operating Office (COO) team and coordinate our School Transport function from October 2021.

Key purpose of the role

The Bursary Secretary/Transport Coordinator provides support to the COO’s team and is responsible for the full transport function at the School. The right candidate will enjoy working in an exciting but challenging environment and form an integral part of the School community.  

Experience and Skills

The desired candidate will have experience working in a busy office environment and be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.  They will also be competent users of Microsoft Office and have knowledge and experience of using databases, spreadsheets and Word documents. Excellent communication skills and experience of working to tight deadlines is essential.  Previous experience of working in a school office is desirable. Candidates should be able to work as part of a team and enjoy a variety of tasks within their remit. 

The successful candidate is expected to possess the following qualities: 

  • A business/administrative background along with competent literacy and IT skills with particular reference to the Microsoft Office suite of programs. 
  • The ability to work independently with excellent time management and organisational skills 
  • The ability to establish and maintain strong positive working relationships with all members of the team and the wider school community of pupils, parents, sponsors, and colleagues. 
  • Ability to be responsive and flexible 
  • Problem-solving capability and ability to dealing with unforeseen problems and complaints effectively

This is a full-time temporary post for 12 months with a salary of £22,495 per annum.
