Business A Level Teacher

The Learn Academy (TLA) is a small sixth form college in Barcelona delivering the British Curriculum to students in the final years of school. We are a unique school with a strong and close community where every student is recognised, valued and appreciated. Our students are over 15 years of age and come from diverse global backgrounds. We are a small team (currently a team of 9) of committed, professional and passionate teachers who love what we do. Our class sizes are very small (maximum 15 students, average class size of 9) and we are looking for someone who wants to become a valuable member of our close knit community. We value academics highly and more specifically are focused on ensuring each child has the ability to their personal potential. 

We are looking to hire an A Level Business teacher to join us in September 2024.

The role can take one of four options and we will be flexible for the right candidate:

1. Business A Level teacher, part time.
2. Business A Level teacher + GCSE / A Level mathematics teacher, full time
3. Business A Level teacher + another A Level subject (fine art, photography, Spanish, physics. Possibility for economics or English Literature)
4. Business A Level teacher + leadership / admin duties within the school, full time

Suitable candidates will possess: 

• A teaching qualification 
• A minimum of two years’ classroom experience 
• GCSE and/or A Level experience necessary. For example, if the teacher has taught GCSE, but not yet A Levels this would be okay if the teacher has a passion for exploring the A Level curriculum 

* We would consider teachers who have American Diploma or IB experience, who are willing to learn and deliver the British curriculum.

• Currently living in Spain, or someone who has the legal requirements to live and work in Spain
• Possess valid references, and have an up to date working with children checks
